Fly from Kosice to Tel Aviv

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today a new route from Kosice to Tel Aviv in Israel. The new service will commence on 23 June, with a convenient schedule of two weekly frequencies, on Mondays and Fridays, during the summer season, and on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the winter season. Tel Aviv, a modern, vibrant and cosmopolitan city is a great all-year-round holiday destination, with a sun-bronzed strip of coastline where coffee and culinary innovation are the local trademarks. With a fascinating heritage, the city scenery will surprise visitors with contemporary art galleries, chic lounges, artisan boutiques and blissfully balmy beaches.

Wizz Air started its operations in Slovakia from Kosice in 2013 and since then has continuously invested in its ever-growing network, always looking to bring more low-fare travel opportunities for its customers. In 2015, Kosice airport became the 20th WIZZ base with one based new Airbus A320 aircraft and 42 local crew employees. Wizz Air started operations from Poprad and Bratislava airport in 2014 and 2016, respectively, further expanding its low-fare network from Slovakia.

Responding to the growing demand for WIZZ services by Slovakian consumers, the airline is currently offering a total of 11 low-fare services to 10 destinations in 8 countries from three Slovakian airports, underlining its commitment to offer quality service and truly affordable fares to passengers.

During 2016, Wizz Air had a 25% growth year over year, carrying over 300,000 passengers to and from the three Slovakian airports: Bratislava, Kosice and Poprad, which supported nearly 230 on-site jobs** in aviation and tourism industries throughout the country.
