On Sunday 25th March summer flight schedule 2018 will become effective. It will bring more flights on board of legacy carriers and an attractive offer of holiday destinations.

Austrian Airlines is again increasing number of weekly flights to its Vienna hub from 10 to 13 during the summer season. Some of them will are operated by Embraer E195 or Airbus A320.

Czech Airlines remain the airline that operates the highest number of flights to Košice: wide network of destinations via Prague is available on board of Czech national carrier from Košice 18 times per week. Connection to Bratislava is available 6 times per week.

The highlight of the summer flight schedule is frequency increase on the route Košice – Warsaw. As of July 2018, LOT Polish Airlines will add three more flights in addition to existing schedule. In total LOT will operate 11 flights per week from Košice to Warsaw, most of them by its modern fleet of Embraer aircraft. Thanks to this extended offer the travellers will gain better access to wide network of LOT Polish Airlines, especially in Western Europe, Russia, North America and Asia.

The largest carrier flying to Slovakia, Turkish Airlines, will continue connecting Košice with its wide network of more than 300 destinations worldwide via its Istanbul hub 4 times per week. The schedule creates opportunities to easily and comfortably catch the wave of flights to North America with morning departures (Tuesday and Friday) and to Asia and exotic destinations with evening departures (Monday and Sunday).

Wizz Air is increasing capacity on its flights to London Luton which will be operated by an Airbus A321 with capacity of 230 seats on a daily basis, starting on 15th May 2018.

Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of Košice International Airport, Michael Tmej: „Summer flight schedule at Košice Airport again offers wide choice of flights to the whole world on board of our partner legacy carriers. In total 46 weekly flights to 4 hubs will be operated and Košice is the only Slovak airport that can offer so rich connectivity.”

With the upcoming summer season, sunshine lovers are getting ready for holiday. According to current information, following charter destinations will be available with departure from Košice: Antalya, Barcelona, Bourgas, Corfu, Ercan, Heraklion, Hurghada, Lamezia Terme, Larnaca, Monastir, Palma de Mallorca, Olbia, Patras, Rijeka, Rhodes, Thessaloniki, Tirana.
