Austrian Airlines is the second airline that restarted flights from Košice after the measures taken to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 were lifted.

Michael Tmej, the CEO and chairman of the management board of Košice Airport said: “Austrian Airlines have been a reliable partner for Košice Airport for almost 25 years and we are glad that their planes are once again connecting Košice with Vienna. Thanks to this connection there are plenty of European destinations available from Košice and from July also popular long haul destinations such as New York – Newark, Chicago, Washington and Bangkok.”

Stephan Linhart, senior sales director Austrian Airlines for Austria and Slovakia said: “„After almost 90 days on the ground, we are pleased that Austrian Airlines is finally flying again and that we are able to further extend our network step by step.
