Due to the current situation with coronavirus COVID-19 in Slovakia, on March 12, 2020, the Central Crisis Staff of the Slovak Republic adopted various preventive measures which affected also Košice Airport.
In accordance with the Government Decree of the Slovak Republic regarding declaration of the emergency situation in order to prevent spreading of SARS-COV-2 Coronavirus, civilian flights with a take-off point in the territory of another state and a landing point in the territory of the Slovak Republic are prohibited.
This decree entered into force on March 13, 2020 at 07:00 a. m. and will be effective for 14 days, i.e. until March 27, 2020.
Cancelled are flights of Czech Airlines to Prague with 16 arrivals and 16 departures, Austrian Airlines to Vienna with 22 arrivals and 22 departures, LOT Polish Airlines to Warsaw with 18 arrivals and 18 departures, Eurowings to Düsseldorf with 8 arrivals and 8 departures and Wizzair to London Luton with 11 arrivals and 11 departures.
