As of 18 January 2021, the general conditions for entry into the United Kingdom have been updated to reduce the risk of Covid-19 virus transmission.
An important condition for entry into the United Kingdom is a negative PCR, LAMP or antigen test no older than 72 hours.
IMPORTANT: An original in English, Spanish or French is required (translation of the original will not be accepted).
The control of the negative test will also take place at Košice Airport and passengers without confirmation may be refused transport from the destination.
Your test result can be provided as a physical, printed document, or via e-mail or text message, which you can show on your phone.
The test certificate must contain:
your name, which should match the name on your travel documents,
your date of birth or age,
the result of the test,
the date the test sample was collected or received by the test provider,
the name of the test provider and their contact details.
A negative test is required for every passenger, except for children under 11 years of age.
The penalty for non-compliance is £ 500 (approx. € 560). The authenticity and correctness of the negative test will also be verified by the border control in Britain.
Despite the negative test, it is necessary to undergo a mandatory home quarantine for 10 days.
Passenger locator form
For each passenger there is still an obligation to fill in the so-called >passenger locator form< which is used to tracing contacts on board.
