In the first half of 2018 Košice Airport welcomed 213 712 passengers which is 26 587 passengers more than in the first half of 2017, representing an annual increase of 14,2 %.  Number of passengers using scheduled services to and from Košice rose to 186 865, representing an annual growth of 8,8 %. Charter passengers were up by 78,4% which represents an increase of 11 373 passengers.  

Chief executive officer and chairman of the management board of Košice International Airport, Michael Tmej said: „Having seen the best June charter traffic ever, we think this is a good proof for market development and a good basis for a great winter schedule at our airport with additional two destinations in Germany. All our team members and partners are glad to serve the growing number of passengers.”
