Ryanair, the largest European airline, opens another air service from Košice. From the 3rd August 2020 it will fly on the route Košice – Prague.

Austrian Airlines is the second airline that restarted flights from Košice after the measures taken to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 were lifted.

Due to the current situation with coronavirus COVID-19 in Slovakia, on March 12, 2020, the Central Crisis Staff of the Slovak Republic adopted various preventive measures which affected also Košice Airport.
