There is a new airline coming to Košice. As of 27th March 2024 Swiss International Air Lines will operate a new route from Zürich to Košice three times per week. The route will be operated by an Airbus A220 aircraft every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The only direct air service between Slovakia and Switzerland will also bring plenty of opportunities within the SWISS network for the travellers from Eastern Slovakia. Long haul destinations with very convenient transfer in Zurich include Tel Aviv, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Johannesburg, Montreal, New York, Miami, Chicago, Boston, Bangkok, Hong Kong or Shanghai. The route will be perfectly connected also to many European destinations within the SWISS network, such as Milan, Stockholm, Geneva, Venice or Valencia.

Even though the summer flight schedule officially starts on Sunday 31st March 2024, SWISS will launch the route already on Wednesday 27th March, in order to make pre-Easter travel significantly easier for members of Slovak community in Switzerland and their families.
